The 2005 Chrismont Cabernet Sauvignon was carefully aged in quality, French oak and impresses the drinker with its deep, intense crimson colour. From a glass, its sumptuous berry fruit nose lifts, displaying blueberry, cherry and blackcurrant. The palate introduces itself with a splash of flavours and fleshiness that builds in power and intensity through the mid-palate and beyond; well-balanced with a subtle finish of black cherries. Perfect to enjoy with red meat, including steak, lamb chops, kangaroo and game. This wine may be enjoyed immediately, yet will reward another careful cellaring to 2014 and beyond. |
